Maths Recovery

The Maths Recovery Programme was developed as a systemic response to the nationwide issue of underachievement in mathematics.

The programme involves:

• Identification of those children who have difficulties in 1st class.
   

• The provision of a programme of intensive, individualised and group teaching to these children in order to advance them to a level at which they are likely to learn successfully in a regular class setting.

• Early intervention is very important. 

Selected children receive a half an hour a day of individualised teaching. This individualised work with children helps them to succeed in the mainstream classroom. For more information please see http://www.mata.ie/home.html
